Vintage CHANEL Wool Hard Case Crossbody Bag

Every work of art has history behind it, and this Chanel masterpiece has quite the history. Despite its name, the Chanel “Millennium 2005” Limited Edition bag, this piece was actually created and shown on runways in 1999 after nearly two years of designing. In order to celebrate the 21st Century, Karl Lagerfeld wanted to create a piece that was innovative and outside the realms of the classic quilted handbags. Thus, the "Millennium 2005" was created, and since then, no bag has come close to its unique design and innovation.

Crafted in a gray wool with silver satin metal, this bag was shaped to resemble the beauty of the female body. Redefining the usual designs of most bags, the interior features five pockets with a corset design. Wear it as a clutch, utilize the attachable shoulder strap and wear it across the body, or as Karl Lagerfeld once famously said, "Use it as a pillow on airplane". Some pieces are built to withstand the test of time, while other pieces, like this 2005, was built so uniquely and beautifully that it’s almost as if it’s a gift from the fashion future.

The bag can be worn two ways. Tuck in the crossbody strap and carry as a clutch. Or sling it over your shoulder for your daily adventures.

This bag is in overall EXCELLENT condition and shows very light to normal wear.
•Some light color variation
•All hardware stamped with CHANEL logo.
•Interior has minor marks here or there but very clean.
•CC Push Lock has some silver plating loss but not very noticeable unless upon close inspection
•Metal mesh shoulder straps in good condition
•CHANEL label and Serial number intact (see photos)
